3 tbsp garlic powder
3 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp chili powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 blocks pepper jack cheese
2 packages of bacon
Croix Valley Hot N’ Spicy sauce
Cut onions into large round rings. Pair up two rings together.
Cut pepper jack cheese into ½ inch thick slices. Between the two paired up onion rings, put a couple slices of cheese.
Wrap in bacon to seal in cheese. 2-3 slices of bacon per pair. Then skewer them so that the bacon stays secure, and so it is easy to flip the onion rings.
Mix garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and salt and pepper together. Season all the onion rings.
Preheat smoke/grill to 375 degrees. Place onion rings on the grill. Periodically glaze with BBQ sauce. We used Croix Valley.
Cook for 30 minutes or until bacon is at desired crispiness.
